He is a registered Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) who will be 2 in the fall. He was purchased from a breeder near Lincoln. I can check exact dates if anyone needs them. He is excellently behaved with children and other dogs, and has been no threat to the cat, although he does bark when he gets hissed at. He was neutered early on due to a testicular problem. My friend has worked with him on some basic obedience training the past couple of days and have found that he responds well to praise, and would be easy to train. He is house broken and crate trained.

The reason he needs a new home is simply that my friend's mother-in-law is having to find a new living situation and will only be allowed to keep her smaller, older sheltie. They will have to surrender him to the shelter, if they can't locate a good home for him within a couple of weeks.

happy oktoberfest day!!!

our party started slow. at first doug was the only invitee to show up. then a couple of dave's friends came over. and then a little before 11, i get a call from one of my co-workers asking if we were still having people over. i said "people" might be a stretch since most people bailed because of the weather. she said they had three carloads of people out front. so they came in, we drank (mojitos, champagne punch, martinis, morgan and cream soda), ate food, the men played pool, the women talked, i was grilled about dave. it ended up being really fun. i always enjoy them at work, but haven't really hung out with them much outside of work. maybe now that i live in bellevue, i will see them more often. especially since THEY will drive on snowy roads to come hang out. ;)

after they left, dave and i played guitar hero. a little more difficult when drunk, but i still did okay.

i had a good time, and i rang in the new year with my favorite person. the only downside is that we have a ton of food leftover.

no school tomorrow!!!!! i fucking love my job.
